EMERSON, N.J. – John T. O'Neil, of Emerson, died Friday, Nov. 13. He was 101.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was raised in Jersey City.
O'Neil worked for the Railway Express Company and The Record until his retirement in 1991.
He was predeceased by his wife Virginia, son Richard and brothers Joseph and George, and is survived by daughter Margaret "Peggy" O'Brien, and grandchildren Virginia and Timothy.
William G. Basralian Funeral Home in Oradell will handle the arrangements.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Victories Church, 50 Harriot Ave., in Harrington Park.
Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly.
Memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
