Armand Restivo, 98, Of Washington Township

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Armand Restivo, a Washinton Township resident, died Nov. 5, after a short illness. He was 98.

Restivo was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., volunteered in the Civilian Conservation Corps, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves in Korea. 

He and Louise Imperato were married March 2, 1946, in Brooklyn; they raised their family in Bergen County. 

Restivo earned his civil engineering degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and retired from a career as a civil engineer for the New York/New Jersey Port of Authority in 1974. After retirement, he continued as a consultant for the construction of the Meadowlands' Giants Stadium. 

He was predeceased by his daughter, Joan Restivo; and grandson, Billy Morgan. 

He is survived by his children, Virginia Morgan and her husband William Morgan, Robert Restivo; and grandchild, Kristen Morgan. 

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, followed by an interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association , P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
