Workers will replace a 6-inch portion with an 8-inch piece on Walnut Street from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for better water flow.
United Water will notify residents directly before the interruptions, Director of Communication Steve Goudsmith told Daily Voice.
"We are committed to improving service reliability wherever we can," Gouldsmith said. "This project is among many projects that we have worked on in the last couple of years."
The company invested $187 million into infrastructure investments that directly benefit customers, Gouldsmith said.
Final pavement restoration of Walnut Street is scheduled for next year.
