Power Restored After Birds Strike Emerson Hotel Transformer

EMERSON, N.J. — Power has been restored in Emerson after two birds struck a transformer on top of Emerson Plaza East's Emerson Hotel on Tuesday morning, Mayor Lou Lamatina told Daily Voice.

"All we know is the power went out and then the patroller reported he saw smoke from the one transfromer," Emerson Police told Daily Voice of the 11:30 a.m. incident.

"Everything has been fixed," the dispatcher said.
