Park Ridge Updates Leaf Collection Program

PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- Beginning Monday, Nov. 2, the Park Ridge DPW will make its third pass through town picking up leaves.

Park Ridge DPW has already made two passes of leaf collection through town but warns residents they expect the volume of leaves to increase and slow progress.

Crews will start on the west side in Zone 2 and continue through Zones 2 through 5. They'll then move to the east side, starting in zone 6 and continuing with 7 through 9.

The vacuum crew will start on the west side main roads, continuing through to the east.

Although volume has been light so far, the DPW says it'll become heavier -- and take longer to get through each zone.

Residents should also allow for interruptions caused by weather or equipment breakdowns.

Leaves must be placed at the curb for pickup. If they are blocked by cars or behind trees or poles, they can’t be picked up.

Borough officials ask that property owners not mix branches with leaves.
