Washington Township Scouts Urge Residents 'Unplug For A Day'

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Washington Township's Girl Scout Junior Troop No. 4701 are urging fellow citizens to "Unplug for a Day," on Friday, March 4.

The Troop is working toward its Bronze Award, and this a community event aims to get township residents to abandon their cell phones, computers and tablets for one day. The troop's goal is to get as many people as possible to "disconnect to reconnect with family and friends."

The event will run from 6 p.m. on March 4 until 6 p.m. on March 5.
