“Frankie was born with epilepsy. When he was 16 months old, he had three brain surgeries to remove the part of his brain responsible for his seizures,” Frankie’s aunt, Lisa Snow, wrote on a GoFundMe page created to raise funds for his care.
Snow said after the surgies Frankie was seizure-free for more than two years, and then started to have a few seizures. But a recent growth spurt to his brain has caused another section of his brain to “misbehave.”
“My nephew is truly amazing and I have no doubt that this little superhero will conquer his battles once again!” she wrote.

Frankie will undergo another surgery to remove more tissue, Snow wrote.
“It was a scary and difficult decision for my sister and her family to accept, but once again they are putting on their capes and showing just how courageous they really are,” she wrote.
Frankie’s parents will both be taking time off of work to care for their son, according to the page.
“Between hospital bills, medication, and time out of work I am respectfully asking for your help,” Snow wrote.
More than $7,000 had been raised by Friday afternoon.
