On Dec. 5, they passed their arduous fourth-degree black belt test to become taekwondo masters.

The boys trained continuously for the past 14 years to accomplish this feat as a team. Being labeled a master now entitles them to teach others taekwondo, which focuses on humility, respect and self-defense.

The boys train under the instruction of grand master Yoo and head master Lee of Master Yoo’s Summit Martial Arts in Park Ridge.
