Among the many loved ones she left behind is her 4-year-old lab, Diesel.
Dahse's son, Frank Massanova of North Haledon, set out to find the pup a home.
"Although shy at first, he is a very loving and affectionate dog that gets along well with others," Massanova wrote on his mother's Facebook page. "He deserves a great home."
UPDATE: Massanova has found a home for Diesel with his aunt in Tennessee.
