The campaign for Joey — son of River Vale Police Sgt. Chris Bulger and his wife, Lauren — is shooting to raise $20,000.

According to Westwood sources, Joey attends first grade at the Berkeley Avenue Elementary School.

“Joey is a 7-year-old happy, healthy boy who likes to play football, surf, be with his friends and hug his parents,” wrote Francesca Santore Meisten of Old Tappan, campaign administrator.

“He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. As you can imagine, life changed in a split second when this family of three got the devastating news.”

The Bulger family is spending its days and nights in the hospital, according to the campaign description.

Meisten said the family’s burden is both emotional and financial as medical bills mount.

“As friends of this wonderful family who have always given to people in need, it is our turn to give to them,” she wrote. “Any amount you donate is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small.”
