More than 200 families will decorate their cars and provide a safe place for kids to get their fill of candy.

For the kids who aren't able to indulge, the PTA is also having a "Teal Pumpkin" table, part of a recent growing trend. The teal pumpkin is an indication that non-candy treats are available for children who have food allergies.

Launched by FARE (Food Allergy & Research Education) the Teal Pumpkin Project is a way to keep safe the 1 in 13 children affected by food allergies.

Neighborhood parents can participant by putting a teal pumpkin outside their home, as a way to indicate that they have non-food treats available. Participants who don't have time to paint a pumpkin teal can print out a free sign from FARE's website, and place it outside their home as an indicator that their house is a safe place for kids with food allergies to trick-or-treat.
