WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. -- Valley Chabad Hebrew School celebrated Tu B'Shvat, the Jewish New Year for trees on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Students each planted radishes to take home and enjoy. 

The planting was led by Paul Weiner of Woodcliff Lake, a plant enthusiast. 

Tu B'Shvat is celebrated 5th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat. In contemporary Israel, the day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day.
