Westwood EMTs Complete Refresher Course

WESTWOOD, N.J. -- A refresher course in Westwood was recently held for Emergency Medical Technicians.Professionals in Hillsdale, River Vale and Weehawken participated in the Westwood EMT Refresher Course on April 30. Participants worked to update their skill sets and refresh their knowledge.

They also had a chance to share exchange emergency stories and have fun.

The mission of the Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps is to render emergency medical service to Westwood residents and render mutual aid and assist other towns in emergency situations as may be requested.

In 2015, the WVAC responded to a total of 648 911-emergencies in Westwood and surrounding towns. Without the help of the corps’ loyal volunteers, this would not be possible.
