Violinist David Podles Performs At River Vale Public Library

RIVER VALE, N.J. -- Violin virtuoso David Podles will perform at the River Vale Free Public Library at 1 p.m. Friday.

Podles -- a native of Riga, Latvia -- is a laureate of three prestigious international competitions and received a Ph.D. from Conservatory in Riga. He performed in symphony, chamber, opera and ballet theater orchestras. He has toured across Russia, throughout Europe and the United States.

Upon arrival in America, Podles performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the 92nd Y, both solo and in an orchestra. Most recently, he performed at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center.
