Literature Professor Edward Shannon, of Mahwah's Ramapo College of New Jersey, will introduce and do Q&A sessions for the films. Admission to the films is free, and refreshments will be available.
Here are the four remaining films:
- Monday, June 27 -- "Help!" -- Music Night -- This 1965 film is rated G and has a runtime of 87 minutes. "Absurd, delightful and exuberantly messy, 'Help!' is a pure pleasure to watch," the New York Times noted.
- Monday, July 11 -- "Carol" -- Girls Night Out -- This 2015 movie is set in New York City in the early '50s and tells the story of a forbidden love. It's rated R and has a runtime of 118 minutes.
- Monday, July 18 -- "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" -- Class Film Night -- Roger Ebert gave this 1948 film starring Humphrey Bogart four stars out of four. This movie is unrated and runs for 126 minutes.
- Monday, July 25 -- "Rififi" -- Foreign Film Night -- This 1955 film is in French, with English subtitles. The unrated movie -- which Ebert gave four stars and said invented the modern heist movie -- has a runtime of 115 minutes.
