WESTWOOD, N.J. -- The Borough Council has rejected a proposal by the Westwood Chamber of Commerce to host a "Zombie Walk" the week before Halloween, according to a story on northjersey.com.

The chamber's executive director, Joseph Abou-Daoud, said he envisioned hundreds of people dressed in zombie costumes strolling on the sidewalks in the central business district, northjersey.com said.

Mayor John Birkner Jr. and the council had concerns about the a large number of people converging on the already busy downtown, the logistics surrounding street closures and the police presence that would be required, northjersey.com said.
