A state grand jury has declined to bring criminal charges against a Fort Lee police officer who shot and killed 25-year-old Victoria G. Lee during a mental health emergency in her apartment last summer, officials said Tuesday, July 15.
The decision, announced by the Office of Public Integrity and Accountability (OPIA), came nearly one year after Lee was killed by Officer Tony Pickens Jr. at The Pinnacle apartments on Main Street in Fort Lee.

A traffic stop in Lyndhurst led to the arrest of a Rutherford man and the discovery of a massive stash of illegal drugs and weapons, police said.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 25, near Park Avenue and Rutherford Avenue, according to Lyndhurst Police Detective Capt. Vincent Auteri.
Detective Michael Giangeruso and Officer Angel Batista pulled over a black Mini Cooper for speeding and a lane violation. The driver, Gavin J. Lebosquet, 47, of Rutherford, had an active arrest warrant out of Hackensack, police said.

A convicted felon from Bergen County was seized while trying to bring two rifles, a handgun, a Taser, a switchblade and bogus U.S. Marshals credentials onto a flight from Newark to Fort Lauderdale, federal authorities said.
Seretse Clouden, 42, of Wallington had a .308-caliber DPMS Panther Arms rifle, a 5.56-caliber AR-15 rifle, a .40-caliber Glock 22 handgun and the phony creds -- which bore his name, photograph and a U.S. Marshal badge -- in his checked baggage, the FBI charged in a complaint.
His bags also contained a ballistic vest that said "Deputy Marshal," two magazines containing 15…
