: Lyndhurst Detectives, Off-Duty And Uniformed Officers Nab Teen Car Thieves
Lyndhurst police boxed in a pair of Passaic teens and quickly took both into custody as they tried to pass through town in an SUV stolen out of Clifton, authorities said. Officer Michael D’Alesandro, who'd just finished his shift, spotted the Acura MDX on Ridge Road, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. Detectives Chris Cuneo and Nick Abruscato pulled up on the teens on Second Avenue, the lieutenant said. Driver Blows Stop Sign In Lyndhurst, Knocks Other Car Onto Its Side
A Geo Prism landed on its roof after it was struck by an SUV whose driver ran a stop sign in Lyndhurst early Monday afternoon, authorities said. The Ford Escape was headed west on Second Avenue when it blew past the stop sign and slammed into the Prism, which was headed south on Stuyvesant Avenue, Detective Sgt. Vincent Auteri said. The second vehicle struck an occupied Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and rolled onto its roof, he said. No one was seriously injured, Auteri said. LYNDHURST, N.J. – A serial energy drink thief was looking at a simple shoplifting charge when he got physical with Lyndhurst police, authorities said. Michael Llopis, who was busted two years ago for stealing a shopping cart full of Red Bull, this time hid several cans inside his clothing Thursday afternoon before heading out of the Rite-Aid on Valley Brook Avenue, Capt.
