Pier 1 Imports In Paramus To Shutter Pier 1 imports will be closing three of its North Jersey stores. The Paramus (Route 4 East), Edgewater and East Hanover stores are among the 450 locations nationwide to shutter. The Paramus location is expected to close in late February, NJ.com reports, although its Route 17 store in Paramus will remain open.  It is unclear when the other two stores will shutter. Merchandise is listed at between 20 and 40 percent off.

Acme Stores In Woodcliff Lake, Elmwood Park To Shutter A pair of Bergen County Acme markets will shutter this fall, a company spokesperson said. The Woodcliff Lake (Chestnut Ridge Road) and Elmwood Park (Broadway) stores will shutter by Oct. 2, a company spokesperson told NJ.com. Two other stores in Weehawken and Scarsdale, N.Y. will also be closing around the same time, Acme spokeswoman Dana Ward told the media outlet. Acme closed its Park Ridge location in 2018, just three years after renewing the lease from a shuttered A&P. Its Bergenfield store also went out of business in 2017. No word yet on the stores' replacements.

There is a major sale on exercise equipment and home appliances, its website says. The bottom store will be replaced by a Stew Leonard's supermarket and the top a 12-screen movie theater. The Sears store opened in August 1974, five months after the mall did.
