A mentally ill Teaneck man with a history of violent episodes was hospitalized in police custody after authorities said he cut another man’s neck and arm with a flash drive during a fight. Camwren Cole, 25, was taken for what over the past few years has become a series of psychiatric evaluations at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, March 23. A professional poker player is suing the Borgata after an apparently offhand comment he made to a desk clerk about jumping out of a window got him banned for life. Scott Robbins of Millbury, Massachusetts is seeking more than $1.25 million, a major portion of which he alleges represents lost earnings from Atlantic City poker tournaments, court papers show. New Milford police captured a shoeless burglar who'd broken into a home Thursday afternoon in a remote neighborhood along the Hackensack River. The homeowner told police he and his family returned home shortly after 4:30 p.m. to find the intruder standing in a puddle in their driveway on dead-ended Steuben Avenue wearing a Spongebob Squarepants sweatshirt and no shoes, Detective Lt. UPDATE: Family members were having dinner when a 29-year-old Little Ferry woman grabbed a knife, locked the bedroom door and stabbed her crying 5-day-old daughter in the throat, killing her, records show. Hiralbahen Bhavsar initially told police in a 911 call Thursday night that her husband had a knife and was trying to kill her, court records show. Suicidal Garfield Man Leads Police Chase To GWB And Back
A suicidal man led a police chase from Garfield to the George Washington Bridge and back before being taken into custody before dawn Monday. It began just before 2 a.m., when a River Drive resident called police to say the 22-year-old man was suicidal and had left, Capt. Darren Sucorowski said. Just after 3:30 a.m., Officer Daniel Duleski saw him driving a 1993 four-door Toyota Corolla in the area of Dewitt and Oak streets, Sucorowski said.
