Montvale Crash Sends Driver To Hospital
A crash in Montvale sent a Bloomfield driver to the hospital, authorities said. The victim from Bloomfield apparently made a left in his Mitsubishi in front of a Ford F-150 at West Grand Avenue and Rolling Ridge Road shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. The Mitsubishi driver was taken to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with an eye injury, the chief said. No summonses or charges were immediately filed. An investigation was continuing.

Runaway Pickup With Kids Inside Slams Into Montvale Restaurant
A possible tragedy was avoided when a pickup truck with two kids left inside slammed into the front of a restaurant in Montvale. An Upper Saddle River resident had parked the 2020 Chevy Silverado in front of the Chipotle at The Shoppes at DiPiero Farm when it rolled forward and struck a parked vehicle around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. A 13-year-old who was waiting in the truck with a 9-year-old old tried to stop the pickup but apparently put it in reverse instead, Sanfilippo said. : Visiting Doctor Rescues Drowning Boy, 3, At Bergen County Hotel Pool
Fate intervened this weekend when an emergency room doctor revived a drowning 3-year-old boy pulled from a hotel pool near the New Jersey/New York border. Police who responded within a minute to the call of an unresponsive child at the Courtyard by Marriott on Chestnut Ridge Road in Montvale at 4:20 p.m. Saturday found Dr. John Blundell of Buffalo reviving the New York City boy, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. : Two Injured In Montvale Multi-Vehicle Crash
A three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Montvale injured two drivers, authorities said. Montvale, Park Ridge and Woodcliff Lake firefighters were among the responders following reports that the drivers of a box truck and a Jeep Wrangler were trapped in their vehicles outside The Fresh Market on Chestnut Ridge Road, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. Convicted Montvale Public Masturbator Arrested Again, This Time On Weapons Charges
A convicted public masturbator from Montvale was back in jail, this time after being arrested on weapons charges. Borough police took Marty Napoleon, 38, into custody after finding him with brass knuckles when they responded to his home on a harassment complaint last Thursday, Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo said. He remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Tuesday after a judge initially denied his release.
