? Englewood Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Outside Hospital, Witnesses Sought
A 26-year-old motorcyclist died in a spill outside Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, said authorities who are seeking witnesses. City resident Yeison Velasquez apparently lost control of the cycle and went down on North Dean Street at 7:45 p.m. Friday, May 24, police said. He died a short time later at the hospital, they said. NOTE: Englewood Police Chiet Thomas Greeley asked that anyone who might have witnessed the crash -- or has any other information that could help investigators -- contact his Traffic Bureau at (201) 568-2863 or tb@englewoodpd.org.

An Englewood woman unloading groceries suffered a broken leg in a downtown chain-reaction crash caused by a hit-and-run driver, authorities said. The crash occurred in front of a mixed-use building on busy North Dean Street near Depot Square between 9-9:30 p.m. last Friday, April 8, police Capt. Fred Pulice said. Two Englewood Pedestrians Struck In Back-To-Back Crashes
Two Englewood pedestrians were struck Friday by vehicles only three blocks and barely 45 minutes apart, authorities said. A 45-year-old woman was struck at 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of East Palisade Avenue and South Dean Street by a 1999 Buick Century driven by a 77-year-old man, Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halstead said. The sedan driver was turning right onto South Dean from East Palisade when he hit her in the crosswalk on Dean Street, he said. The woman wasn’t seriously injured, the deputy chief said. SUVs Crash Outside Englewood IHOP
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- There was no immediate word on the extent of injuries Thursday morning after SUVs crashed in front of the Englewood IHOP. Police, firefighters and EMS responded to the North Dean Street crash just before 10:30 a.m. The driver of the second SUV in the photo required medical attention after the vehicle struck the first one as it turned to enter the restaurant parking lot.
