Woman Struck, Killed By Train In Bergen County, NJ Transit Says An NJ Transit train struck and killed a pedestrian in Bergen County overnight, officials said. The incident happened at approximately 1 a.m. when Port Jervis train 41, which had departed Hoboken at 12:39 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Port Jervis at 3:15 a.m., hit a woman just west of Rutherford Station at Paterson Avenue, according to NJ Transit spokesman John Chartier. There were no reported injuries among the 22 passengers or crew members on board, Chartier said. The New Jersey Transit Police Department is leading the investigation.
