$100K Lotto Winner Sold At North Jersey 7-Eleven
A Jersey Cash 5 ticket good for $100,000 was sold at a North Jersey 7-Eleven store. The ticket from the New Year's Day drawing was purchased from the Morris Avenue location in Union. The winning numbers were: 07, 12, 19, 34 and 40 and the XTRA number was: 03. The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for the winning ticket sold.

SWAT Standoff Ends With Weapons Seized In Union
Authorities said they seized several weapons after an hours-long SWAT standoff in Union ended peacefully Monday night. The home on Arnet Avenue off Morris Avenue was evacuated of family members in the standoff, which began around 7:40 p.m. with a report of a man armed with a shotgun barricaded inside, responders said. The Union County Emergency Response Team, which includes SWAT team members and negotiators, joined police, firefighters and EMTs. Fanwood Motorist Was On Drugs When He Killed 94-Year-Old In Union Crash: Pros.
A 52-year-old Fanwood man has been charged with death by auto while under the influence and assault by auto while under the influence in an incident that left an elderly woman dead and two others hurt, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. Authorities said Thomas DiNapoli was driving east on Morris Avenue in Union on the afternoon of June 4 when he crossed the double-yellow line and struck a Chevy Impala head-on.
