: Body Found In Hudson Is Missing Md. Man, Second Body Also Recovered
UPDATE: The man retrieved from the Hudson River Wednesday afternoon was identified Thursday as a Baltimore man who has been missing since May 4. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed that a body was retrieved from the Hudson River in Hoboken Wednesday afternoon. The person was identified only as a male and was found at Pier A near Sinatra Drive. On Monday, police in Jersey City retrieved another body from the river, at Exchange Place. Investigations into both incidents were continuing Thursday morning.

Helicopter Misses Landing Pad And Crashes In Hudson:

A helicopter ended up in the Hudson River after it missed its landing pad near West 30th Street in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon, the NYPD said. The pilot got out of the water safely, police also said. The pilot, who was alone on the helicopter, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, CBS 2 reported. A person on the ground near the dock was hurt after being struck by flying debris, the station also said. Those injuries were also non-life-threatening. Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Hudson River In Rockland
No one was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing in the Hudson River in Rockland County early Tuesday evening, authorities said. Piermont firefighters and EMS and Nyack firefighters were operating at the end of the pier while a Rockland County sheriff's Marine Unit towed the single-engine craft to shore, police said. The plane made the "controlled" water landing around 5 p.m. and was pulled from the water a little over two hours later, they said.

Body Pulled From Hudson Near Jersey City Financial Center
The NYPD Harbor Patrol Unit pulled a body from the Hudson River in Jersey City around lunchtime Tuesday. Witnesses gathered near the ferry dock that serves the Harborside Financial Center as the body was brought onto the boat around 12:30 p.m. It was bagged and then brought to shore, one said. Jersey City police and firefighters also responded.

Edgewater Onlooker Draws Fire For Posting Photo Of Decomposed Hudson Floater
An employee at an Edgewater company drew criticism for tweeting photos Wednesday of a decomposed body floating in the Hudson River. Because the body hadn’t washed up, Edgewater police notified the NYPD Harbor Patrol, which has jurisdiction of the river, just before 11:30 a.m., Detective Sgt. Timothy Farrell said. The restaurant opened six months ago in the lighthouse-shaped building behind the Edgewater Commons shopping plaza along the Hudson River, not long after the chain was acquired by Landry’s, Inc., out of Houston. A rescue team plucked a New York City man from a ledge after he tumbled down the Palisades in Fort Lee late Thursday.
