Summer Fun: State Fair Meadowlands Returns
Racing pigs. Water gun races. A magician. It's about to be state fair season in North Jersey. The State Fair Meadowlands is returning for another year, kicking off June 22 and running through July 9. This year, the fair is offering attractions like Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean, Cycle Circus, racing pigs and a magician. One was a real estate developer and the other worked in marketing. Both quit their jobs to open a health food cafe that recently landed in Bergen County. Philip Quilter and David Casey came to the U.S. in the early 1990s with a few hundred bucks and a dream.
