A massive voluntary recall has been issued for frozen waffles sold by over 14 different grocery store chains nationwide due to the potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, TreeHouse Foods, Inc. announced on Friday, Oct. 18. Muffins sold under seven different brand names were recalled over listeria concerns. Give and Go Prepared Foods (U.S.A.) Corp. on Wednesday announced the nationwide recall of certain products sold at 7-Eleven, Stop & Shop and Walmart. More Illnesses After Recall Of 200M Eggs Due To Salmonella Outbreak
A dozen more people have fallen ill from a salmonella outbreak that led to the recall of more than 200 million eggs from nine states, including New York and New Jersey, last month. The number of those who have been sickened from the contaminated eggs is now 35, with 11 of them having been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.
