Bergen County Rescue Dog Eases Pain Of Sexual Assault Victim, 20 Leaving the house and getting out of bed became difficult for Liz Mitchell two years ago when she became the victim of sexual assault. Things got easier last December, though, when she found Dani -- a four-year-old Bull Terrier mix with River Vale's Good Karma Dog Rescue who quickly eased her pain. Photos: Bergen Rescue Takes In Dog Tied With Ethernet Cable, Puppies A dog found with an ethernet cable tied around her neck and her eight puppies were recently taken in by River Vale's Good Karma Dog Rescue. Holly was found by college students at Widener University in Chester, P.A. They notified authorities but no one had reported her missing, rescue officials said. The couple reached out to Good Karma, who agreed to help and take Holly in. "They wanted to foster her but after looking at the pictures they sent of her, we had our suspicions that she was pregnant," founder Lisa Romano Adamek said.
