Carlos M. Martinez Amaya wasn't only charged with burglarizing the Mahwah Bar & Grill, Ernie’s Ice Cream and the Fardale Deli & Mini Mart (twice). He's also accused of commercial burglaries in Upper Saddle River and Franklin Township and with pointing a gun at someone. Update: Fleeing Teen Driver Tries To Ram Police During Multi-Town Northwest Bergen Pursuit UPDATE: A fleeing teen driver tried to ram a Mahwah police vehicle during a wild early-morning chase Wednesday through several towns that became the fourth area police pursuit in just 12 hours. It all began in Franklin Lakes with a report of thieves trying to enter vehicles parked in the area of Greenridge Road and Old Mill Road around 6 a.m. May 3, Police Capt. Mark McCombs said. Habitual Mahwah Offenders Charged With Drugs In Glen Rock Route 208 Stop Released Again A pair of 29-year-old habitual offenders from Mahwah were arrested by Glen Rock police on drug charges following a Route 208 stop – and then released soon after being booked into the Bergen County Jail. An officer pulled them over around 1:30 a.m. Saturday for failure to signal what became an unsafe lane change on the northbound highway, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
