Two men were killed in a small plane crash in a Cumberland County yard Monday, Sept. 19, according to various news reports, authorities said. The single-engine Champion Aeronca 7AC crashed in a Parvin Mill Road yard in Upper Deerfield Township around 1:50 p.m., according to the FAA and New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez. Terminal C of Newark Airport was placed on lockdown as authorities investigated reports of a suspicious package on Sunday, Sept. 11, authorities said. Bucknell Grad, 23, Dead After Mysterious Mid-Air Fall/Jump From Plane
Police were trying to piece together if a 23-year-old Bucknell University graduate jumped or fell out of a plane moments before it made an emergency landing with the pilot on board. Charles Crooks — who was not wearing a parachute — was found in trees in the backyard of a North Carolina home about 30 miles south of Raleigh-Durham International Airport, around 7 p.m. Friday, July 29, the New York Post reports. Young Pilot Killed In Cape May Plane Crash
A 22-year-old pilot was killed in a Cape May County plane crash early Saturday, July 16, authorities said. Thomas Gibson was the sole occupant of the single-engine Piper PA-12 that crashed into a field near Paramount Air Airport around 9:40 a.m., the FAA and Middle Township police said. The Ocean City resident was pronounced dead at the scene. According to his social media pages, Gibson graduated from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, and had been working for Gibson Electrical & General Contractors. The crash was under investigation.

A 40-year-old pilot was burned when his plane crashed while taxiing at Linden Airport over the weekend, officials said. Pilot, 70, Killed As Glider Plane Crashes In North Jersey
The 70-year-old pilot of a glider plane was killed as the aircraft flipped and crashed into a field in North Jersey, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to the crash report near the Blairstown Airport saw the glider plane upside down in a grassy area near the airport just before 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, the Blairstown Township Police Department said in a Monday release. Two people walked away unscathed after his plane crashed on the Jersey Shore Sunday, May 1, as first reported by the Lakewood Scoop. The single-engine Cessna 172 crashed at Ocean County Airport in Bayville around 6 p.m., the FAA said in a release. The aircraft had departed from Old Bridge Airport in Englishtown. Maryland Bound Plane Makes Emergency Landing In New Jersey
A Maryland-bound plane made an emergency landing in New Jersey after the cockpit became filled with smoke, officials said. The single-engine Piper PA-32 departed from Norwood Regional Airport in Norwood, Mass., and was headed toward Montgomery County Airpark in Gaithersburg, the FAA said. The plane landed safely around 11 a.m. in Teterboro after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit, authorities said. The FAA is conducting the investigation.

A small plane crashed outside of a home in Somerset County Monday, April 4. The single-engine Mooney M20M went down in a yard at the corner of Griesheimer and Main streets in Manville around 1 p.m. The crash-landing location is just north of Central Jersey Regional Airport, the FAA said.
