Photos: Car Slams Into Route 4 Vitamin Shoppe In Paramus PARAMUS, N.J. -- A driver injured his arm Tuesday afternoon when his car slammed into the Vitamin Shoppe on Route 4 in Paramus, knocking a hole in the wall and sending products tumbling. The four-door Hyundai veered off the westbound highway near Spring Valley Road and struck the building after a collision with another car. Neither the other driver nor store employees were injured. The injured driver refused ambulance transportation to a local hospital. A building inspector was summoned to determine whether the store could be reopened before repairs were made. UPS Driver Hospitalized After Route 17 Crash PARAMUS, N.J. -- A UPS driver was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries after being involved in crash on Route 17 in Paramus. Traffic piled up Thursday morning on the highway after a Jeep Grand Cherokee rear-ended the UPS truck, which had crashed into the highway barrier. The jeep driver did not sustain any injuries. Police are investigating the incident. Ridgewood police, EMS, and fire also provided assistance. Boyd A. Loving contributed to this story.
