Emergency Construction On Route 4 Snarls Traffic
Emergency construction on Route 4 was causing significant delays Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5. According to the NJDOT website, construction was ongoing in the eastbound lanes near Teaneck Road as of 4 p.m., with one right lane closed. Drivers faced delays of approximately 10 minutes, officials reported. Route 4 is known for heavy traffic during rush hour, particularly near the Queen Anne Road exit, where lanes merge, and at the Route 17 junction in Paramus. Emergency Construction Shuts Route 17 Exit Ramp In Hasbrouck Heights
An exit ramp off Route 17 was closed Thursday afternoon, Sept. 5 due to emergency construction, the NJDOT website shows. As of 5 p.m., the ramp to Terrace Avenue/Polifly Road in Hasbrouck Heights along the northbound side of the highway was closed. A reason for the construction was not provided.

North Wildwood has begun $300,000 in emergency work to install a temporary sand dune, officials confirmed. The work follows $400,000 spent last month to install a steel bulkhead after damage by Tropical Storm Ophelia and Hurricane Ian, North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello said, noting the structure surrounds and protects beach patrol headquarters. : Emergency Construction Shuts Route 10 Both Ways In Denville
Route 10 will be closed in either direction Friday as a result of a water main break in Denville. On the eastbound side, the roadway is closed between Franklin Road and Mount Pleasant Turnpike, and one lane on the westbound side will be closed, local police said. Police did not have a timeline on the completion of emergency construction.
