Hackensack PD: FedEx Driver Clung To Side Door Of Stolen Truck For 20 Feet
A FedEx employee who had her truck stolen in Hackensack clung to its side door for 20 feet before police located the suspected thief and vehicle parked few streets away, authorities said. The FedEx driver told police she delivering a package to FOCUS Eye Care on Union Street around 11:25 Wednesday morning when she was elbowed in the chest by a man in the elevator, Hackensack Police Capt. Hackensack Detectives Derail Bronx Trio's Counterfeit-Fueled Shopping Spree
A Bronx trio went on a spending spree with counterfeit $100 bills before Hackensack police detectives nabbed them, authorities said Wednesday. The investigators stopped their 2002 Honda Accord on Essex Street near Prospect Avenue for a traffic violation and quickly learned that the driver, 19-year-old Jazlyn Rodriguez, didn't have a license, Capt. A 70-year-old homeless heroin user left his works on a bench outside a Hawthorne Dunkin' Donuts, said police who found him sleeping inside the shop. Police called to the Goffle Road shop near the Paterson border just after 7 a.m. Sunday found a syringe, rubber bands, and other drug paraphernalia on a bench outside, Detective Sgt. Clifton PD Seeks Public's Help Finding Gunman Who Robbed Dunkin Donuts
Clifton police asked the public for help Thursday finding the gunman who robbed a Dunkin' Donuts earlier this month. The dark-skinned bandit was wearing a ski mask when he pulled a gun on an employee at the otherwise-empty donut shop at Main and Union avenues around 5 a.m. Oct. 2, Lt. Robert Bracken said. The robber removed cash from the register and ran off on Main Avenue, the lieutenant said. The employee wasn't injured, he said. An Englewood Dunkin Donuts manager who tried to call police about a troublesome petty criminal had his cellphone snatched from him, said police who made an arrest soon after.
