Montclair Chefs Compete On 'Hell's Kitchen'
Two Montclair chefs are competing on this season of "Hell's Kitchen," airing Thursday, Jan. 7 on Fox. Amber Lancaster and Nicole Hanna met on the show and went on to work together at Allegory and Alto at the MC Hotel in Montclair. Lancaster is a Tucson, AZ native, who was pursuing a political science degree at the University of Arizona in preparation for law school when her uncle helped her realize her dream of cooking, the MC Hotel website says. ON TV: Demarest Boy Competes For $10G On MasterChef Junior
An 8-year-old boy from Demarest will be competing for the $10,000 grand prize on a FOX network cooking competition. Mateo is among 24 of "the most talented young home cooks in America" selected for "Masterchef Junior" Season 7. They must impress judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and Aarón Sánchez. The first episode is all about breakfast, in which contestants will cook up a meal using surprise ingredients. The first episode will air March 5 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
