Rockland County Jail Sergeant Facing 51 Child Exploitation Charges Following Cyber Tip: DA
A 44-year-old sergeant at the Rockland County Jail is facing over 50 charges of possessing and promoting alleged child sexual abuse material, authorities announced. Daniel Dworkin, a corrections officer sergeant, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 21, following an investigation sparked by a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. A 36-year-old Paterson man has been arrested on child pornography charges after detectives found a nude photo of a young boy had been set as the wallpaper of his cellphone, authorities said. An investigation into Darrel Dye began following a tip regarding illegal internet activity, Acting Passaic County Sheriff Gary Giardina said. A New Jersey man who had been employed as a mascot for amusement parks and sports teams including Sesame Place is arrested on accusations he convinced a preteen girl to send him child pornography, authorities said. A 22-year-old security guard from Teaneck was busted on Thursday for trafficking child porn, authorities said. Dashawn D. Hooks already had a record that included a fierce broad-daylight struggle with a female mugging victim in Englewood a few years ago.
