Prospect Park Package Thief Busted: Police
A 50-year-old Prospect Park man was arrested and charged with stealing packages from an apartment complex in Flanders, authorities announced Friday, April 10. At 2:10 p.m. on Friday, March 20, officers responded to Overlook at Flanders for the report of a theft of a package from the common area of an apartment building, Mount Olive police said. An investigation determined that other thefts have occurred in the apartment complex with suspects fitting the same description, police said. The Wayne Township Planning Board is expected to hear the application for a 275-unit apartment complex proposed for the site of an existing office park along Valley Road, according to township planning documents. Large Pine Tree Collapses Onto Morris County Apartment Complex
Residents and emergency crews were lucky to escape injury after a large tree split and fell on an apartment complex in Morris County. The Budd Lake Fire Department responded to a local complex and confirmed a fallen pine tree during the afternoon on Monday, May 30, the department said. Crews immediately got to work removing the tree while performing a thorough inspection of the building to ensure that none of the residents were trapped inside.
