Train Service In NW Bergen Disrupted By Man Standing On Tracks
Commuter rail service was disrupted in northwest Bergen County after a man stood on the tracks Wednesday afternoon and refused to move, authorities said. Police were called as NJ TRANSIT diverted at least two trains around the man, who parked himself between the Ho-Ho-Kus and Waldwick stations around 3:30 p.m. The man finally relented and walked to the Ho-Ho-Kus station at Brookside Avenue and 1st Street, where he was taken into custody. Driver Hospitalized After Ho-Ho-Kus Collision
An elderly Mini Cooper driver was hospitalized with serious injuries following a noontime crash in Ho-Ho-Kus. The other driver refused medical attention after the Clubman and Honda Insight collided at 1st Street and North Maple Avenue shortly after 12:30 p.m. Police, firefighters and EMS from both Ridgewood and Ho-Ho-Kus were among the responders, along with two rigs from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Hit-Run Sedan Severely Injures Ho-Ho-Kus Resident Walking Dog Near Ridgewood
SEE ANYTHING? Ho-Ho-Kus police sought the public's help finding the hit-and-run driver whose sedan struck and severely injured a borough woman as she walked her dog near the Ridgewood border Tuesday night. The 57-year-old pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk on North Maple Avenue at 1st Street when she was struck around 7 p.m. by a red sedan that then kept going north on Maple, Ho-Ho-Kus Police Chief Christopher Minchin said.
