ORADELL, N.J. — The ribbon cutting ceremony at Hoffman Field defines progress for not only the RecreationDepartment of Oradell, but for Oradell Little League.
This past Saturday, the community came out to support just that.
With the help of Mayor Dianne Didio, council members and the recreation department, Oradell Little League and many community members braved the rain to cut the ribbon of progress to open a new season of baseball.
“Moving this league forward is a major goal for the Little League Board,” said Rob Monaco, one of the league's commissioners. "You can’t do it alone, and having everyone pitch in in some way, be it parents in the community or even our energetic town council is huge step."
'Hoffman Field is just one of the many fantastic athletic facilities in Oradell that needed updating so the next generation of youth baseball to hone their skill and enjoy," added Councilman Michael Staff, who led the funding and implementation of the project.
