Former Paramus State Champ Suriano Facing Toughest College Competition

PARAMUS, N.J. — Bergen Catholic graduate and Penn State grappler Nick Suriano has only been taken down once this season.

Losing isn't something he's used to. Last year he finished off his high school career undefeated as four-time state champion in New Jersey.

And the greatest challenge is still ahead, as on Friday, Suriano will face the top wrestler in the league.

"I train to win," the athlete told Daily Voice earlier this year.

Suriano will take on University of Iowa's Thomas Gilman at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The event airs live at 9 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
