The Penn State 125-pounder (16-1) injured his ankle on Feb.19 in a match against Oklahoma State's Nick Piccininni, the team announced on Twitter.
The third-seeded freshman tried to finish last month's match on one foot , but Coach Cael Sanderson elected to injury default out when it became clear Suriano couldn't put weight on his ankle.
Suriano's opponent, Kyle Akins of Buffalo, will receive a forfeit, PennLive.com reports.
