Paramus Teachers, Police Officers Swing Bats For Children's Health Fund

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Teachers are to take on the police during the inaugural Books 'n' Badges Charity Softball Game scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, at the Cliff Gennarelli-Paramus Sports-Plex at the Garden State Plaza.

Entrance to the family event costs $10 for adults and $5 for children. All proceeds will benefit the Paramus Children's Health Fund, according to organizers.

In addition to the game, children attending the event will have the opportunity to clock their pitch velocity in the "Radar Gun" throwing area.

The event is sponsored by Paramus PRIDE, the Educational Association of Paramus and the Paramus Police Department.
