Paramus Students Compete In Mahwah 'Battle Of The Books'

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Maria Bonner's Enrichment students at Parkway School in Paramus recently attended "Battle of the Books," a friendly competition at Joyce Kilmer Elementary School, in Mahwah.

To prepare for the event, students read 15 books selected from the New Jersey Association of School Librarians list and reviewed study questions. During the competition, six groups worked together through 10 rounds to choose the correct title and author of each challenge question.

"Everyone was a reading star!" organizers noted.

Before the battle, students also engaged in a getting-to-know-you activity and enjoyed lunch together.
