The victim complained of elbow and chest pain, with possible rib injuries, after he struck the mirror and windshield of a car driven by a 69-year-old woman just after 8:30 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

He was headed north on Farview Avenue, making a right onto eastbound Spring Valley Avenue, when the westbound driver apparently cut the corner too close, Guidetti told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Police issued the driver a summons for improper passing.
