The memorial to emergency service workers, with the 16-foot beam as its centerpiece, will be erected at Borough Hall in front of the Public Safety Building.
It will be adjacent to a garden honoring the five River Edge residents who died that day.
River Edge Local PBA 201 collected the beam from a hangar at JFK Airport last fall.
Firefighters, ambulance workers, dispatchers and others have contributed their time and energy into the project, as well.
Let it Grow, Inc., a local landscaping company, has been working with them on the project and has housed the beam until it’s ready to be placed.
