John P. Huang, 47, was taken into custody at his home on Wednesday by Cyber Crimes Unit detectives from Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal’s office who were armed with a search warrant, the prosecutor said Thursday.
The investigators had learned that Huang “utilized the Internet to view, possess, and attempt to distribute digital images depicting nude or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children,” Grewal said.
What’s more, he said, Huang took digital pictures of a 10-year-old victim whom he also sexually assaulted the prosecutor said.
Huang was charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, producing, possessing and attempting to distribute child pornography, and child endangerment.
He remained held in the Bergen County Jail pending a Dec. 13 first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
