Paramus Woman, 64, Struck Outside Oradell Firehouse Dies From Injuries

ORADELL, N.J. -- A 64-year-old Paramus woman who was struck by an SUV outside the Oradell firehouse Monday night died of her injuries, authorities said Tuesday.

Judith James, 64, was crossing Kinderkamack Road westbound just south of Center Street at 10:35 p.m. when she was struck by a southbound Nissan Xterra driven by a 47-year-old Emerson woman, Capt. William Wicker said.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

"No charges have been filed at this time and the matter remains under investigation by the Oradell Police Department with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutors Office Fatal Accident Team and the Bergen County Sheriffs Department," Wicker said just after 12:30 p.m.
