Bland spotted the pair driving from the north end of the mall after a security officer at Nordstrom called police.
He stopped them and found 16 phony credit cards, along with more than $1,700 worth of merchandise and gift cards from Nordstrom, Children’s Place, Avenue, Red Lobster and Modell’s that Brock said was bought with them. The officer also found the shredder and a small amount of marijuana, the chief said.
Kenneth Hall, 58, of the Bronx and his 31-year-old son, Bryan, of St. Albans were arrested on a variety of charges involving fraudulent credit cards, tampering with evidence and posssession of stolen property , among other counts.
Both are being held in the Bergen County Jail — the elder Hall on $10,000 bail and his son on $20,000 bail.
Kenneth Hall will also be given over to Kearny police, who’d issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a separate incident.
