Lt. Robert Wright (second from left), who commands the department’s Internal Affairs Unit, served four years in the United States Air Force, assigned to the USAF Honor Guard. He worked his way up the ranks of the department, from patrolman to detective, then to detective sergeant and detective lieutenant before being assigned to Professional Standards. He also served 11 years as commander of the department’s Ceremonial Honor Guard.
Officer John Zwick (third from left) began in the Patrol Division and was later promoted to Traffic Officer. He is now part of a Traffic Bureau that works to reduce crashes and injuries while keeping traffic flowing through a borough that is essentially the crossroads of North Jersey, with various highways and malls concentrated in a small space.
Lt. Robert Revicki (second from right) followed in his father’s footsteps, working his way up the ranks in the Patrol Division.
“I am pleased to recognize each of these officers for having dedicated 25 years to the Borough of Paramus, as well as to the police service itself,” said Chief Richard Cary (far right). Capt. James Sheehan is to the far left.
Each officer received a framed service certificate and a 25-year service bar.
