Oradell Fire Department Seeks Donations

ORADELL, N.J. -- The Oradell Volunteer Fire Department is now conducting its annual fund drive, to flesh out the department's budget, which isn't fully covered by the borough.

Members aren't going door-to-door this year, however. You should mail in these tax-deductible donations -- or you can now donate securely online, here.

The department has 52 "fully certified professional volunteer firefighters," it notes, and last year "responded to 255 calls for fire, rescue or other assistance."

The funds the department raises in these drives helps pay for equipment and training, as well as fund a variety of public education programs.

If you have any questions, call 201-261-5455.

The department also notes that it doesn't solicit money by phone. If someone calls, it's a paid telemarketer, and money paid doesn't benefit the department.
