Michael Sean Carmody was removed from life support at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center today at 2:48 p.m., Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli told the website.

Two law enforcement officials with direct knowledge of the incident told CLIFFVIEW PILOT Monday that the trajectory of the bullet through Carmody’s chin clearly indicates he turned his own gun on himself after he was wounded in a shootout with police.

“[W]hat will turn out to be the fatal blow was self-inflicted,” one of them said.

Meanwhile, all reports on Morgan’s condition are promising, given that it’s now 2 1/2 days since two 9mm bullets penetrated her abdomen.
